Ayurvedic Yoga, the Yoga by Doshic Constitution
Just as Ayurveda needs an individualized approach to benefit our bodies and mind, we believe Yoga does as well.
Vata, Pitta and Kapha doshic types require different types of exercise to accommodate their needs. Although certain people may be inclined to sports or exercise other than yoga, it has been proven that thanks to its mental and physical benefits, Yoga is indispensable for the wellbeing of those with serious health goals.
Exercising is generally good for us, but one of the most controversial and counteractive approaches to exercise nowadays is over-exercise. Too much exercise can have harmful effects on the body and can actually create inflammations that later in life may become real problems.
Our belief is that independently of what kind of exercise we do, a few minutes a day of yoga practice will benefit everyone.
Yoga can be practiced at different levels to accommodate different body and mental types. Yoga at Be & Live Well is always practiced with this perspective in mind, either in individual sessions or group sessions, our clients will always be guided according to their predominant dosha(s) or condition(s).
