About Me

Namasté. Bowing to you.

I am a Certified Hatha-Raja Yoga Coach as well as a Certified Ayurveda Practitioner from the Ayurvedic Center, Florida College of Integrative Medicine. I am also a member of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA) and the Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America (AAPNA).

I was lucky to get initiated in my training in Kerala, India while living in the Middle East. I signed up for a Yoga program run by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs in India created to maintain and promote traditional Indian arts. That experience in Kerala almost 15 years ago was a turning point in my life. During that stay, while studying Yoga philosophy and practice one-on-one with a Swami, I became aware of the immense benefits classical Yoga and a yogic-ayurvedic life-style can have on our lives. Since then I have focused on deepening my knowledge and practice of classical Yoga as a natural tool to wellness for all.

Upon returning to the States, I studied with yogi Mark Roberts. Mark is an unusually knowledgeable yogi, a Master on a wide variety of mind and healing forms based mostly on traditional Indian and Chinese philosophies, and an enlightened soul. His yoga classes were always a fountain of information, knowledge and experiences hardly found in yoga classes in the West nowadays. His approach and teachings highly motivated me to continue and deepen my yogic studies. Later I got certified as a Yoga Instructor with Yogi Hari in the specialization of Sampoorna Yoga, a well-rounded Yoga discipline that integrates several traditional yoga approaches, which gives it the name Sampoorna, or "Yoga of Fullness".  Although I do not practice the Sampoorna "method" my sessions and teachings are influenced by it because of the tight correlation between my personal and professional interests and Yogi Hari's classic approach to Yoga.

Thanks to this solid and rich background, I have evolved and developed a unique approach to wellness with the integration and application of Yoga with Ayurveda in their traditional form, which means placing emphasis in the control of the fluctuations of the mind as taught by the old rishis. My Yoga sessions, both private and group, use soothing yet toning Asana to counter-act the wide-spread sedentary modern life-style, yet they have as ultimate purpose the development of a state of awareness of one Self as the foundation for wellness and health. The Yogic and Ayurvedic principle of balance is always present in my teachings and wellness sessions. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge with those interested in finding out more about themselves by developing the necessary skills to expand their awareness and mindfulness.

I am originally from Barcelona, Spain, and I currently reside in Boca Raton, FL where I live with my husband and son. I have traveled extensively over the world. I've lived in 3 continents!  and find traveling enriching for the opportunity to live and learn different cultures and societies.

Travel also allows me to express myself through another of my passions: photography. I am specially interested in "zen", wabi-sabi, minimalist and nature photography. I find this medium to be a way of expressing most inner states and moments by perpetuating fleeing moments in the natural world.

I look forward to meeting you.

Om Shanti.
